This session provides a comprehensive introduction to Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), with a focus on their role as a powerful liquidity strategy for construction company owners. Attendees will learn the fundamentals of how ESOPs work, why they are increasingly considered as an exit alternative and the key pros and cons of ESOPs. The presentation will also highlight the unique and significant tax benefits that make selling to an ESOP particularly attractive in the construction industry, helping owners understand why ESOPs can be a compelling succession and financial planning tool.
