Angela Fisher, Director, Forvis Mazars

Much of Angela’s career has focused on assisting privately held middle-market companies in structuring and facilitating new employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). This includes more than 35 ESOP transactions, resulting in those companies becoming 100% ESOP owned. Those transactions ranged in size from several million to several hundred million dollars in a wide range of sectors.

Her experience extends beyond the initial ESOP transaction. She actively engages with existing ESOP companies, providing compliance services such as financial accounting assistance and third-party record-keeping. Angela’s consulting background involves working with mature ESOPs in matters focused on long-term ESOP sustainability. This includes repurchase liability planning, acquisition analysis, and structuring of management incentive plans.

Angela is frequently asked to speak to companies, trade organizations, and other professional services firms throughout the country on the benefits of using ESOPs as a business succession tool.

She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, The ESOP Association, and National Center for Employee Ownership. She currently serves on the Administration Committee of The ESOP Association and the Advisory Board for the Missouri Center for Employee Ownership.

Angela is a 2010 summa cum laude graduate of Missouri State University, Springfield, with a B.S. degree in accounting, and a 2011 graduate with an M.Acc. degree.
