This Webinar will provide an overview of the potential tax changes contained in the Build Back Better Act including the interplay with the CARES Act and Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and miscellaneous year-end tax planning items that could impact construction firms.

Ben Weber is a tax manager at Plante Moran’s East Lansing office. He has been with the firm 8 years and specializes in tax and consulting services for manufacturing, construction and commercial businesses as well as high net worth individuals. Ben’s clients range from entities and owners of single-location facilities to those who run and operate multiple business locations throughout the United States and abroad.   He actively works with his clients to accomplish their goals and minimize taxes through appropriate income tax and cash flow planning. Ben enjoys helping clients through major life events including their successful transition into retirement, complex business sale transactions, and any personal wealth management and transfer goals.

Ben holds an accounting degree and Masters in Taxation from Michigan State University and outside of work Ben, his wife Megan and daughter Ellie live in Dewitt where Ben enjoys getting away to hunt, fish and enjoy other outdoor sporting activities.

Kevin Rogner, CPA  - Tax Senior Manager

I am a senior manager in the tax practice with over eleven years of experience. My background includes providing tax and consulting services for companies in the construction, franchise, and auto dealership industries. I have experience in working with several different ownership models, but primarily focus on working with owner-managed and family-owned organizations. I received a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree from Saginaw Valley State University and am a member of the AICPA and the Michigan Association of CPAs. I am also a member of the Stevens Center for Family Business, the Construction Financial Management Association – Lansing chapter, and serve on the Advisory Board for the Scott L. Carmona College of Business at SVSU.
